Divorce Records vs. Divorce Certificates

This open records portal allows requestors to submit a request online and check on the status of the request. Users may create an account, which is needed to track and receive information related to the request. Additionally, the public can access past requests and may find that the information they are seeking is already available. Marriage Certificates and Divorce Decrees

Birth and death certificates may be ordered online, by mail or by phone through the Indiana State Department of Health. These are records maintained by law enforcement agencies and not by courts.

Wills are not usually available online, but may be available in the clerk's office if the will was filed. To request a certified copy of a will or other estate document, contact the clerk's office in the county where the case is heard.
